I’m Andy Warfield, and I’m an engineer at AWS, working on storage and analytics services.

Before that I was a professor at UBC, co-founded a storage startup called Coho Data, and did a PhD at Cambridge on virtualization. I’ve been building systems software for over 30 years.

This blog is where I write about systems, engineering, and the things I find interesting about building things at scale. It’s eventually consistent.

I live in Vancouver, Canada.
